Rescue Mission to Premiere @home Documentary Film on Homelessness During National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week

Syracuse, NY: The Rescue Mission is proud to present the CNY premiere of @home, a documentary that explores homelessness in America. November 22 at 7:30pm is the first Central New York showing of the film and it will be held at The Palace Theatre, 2384 James St. Admission is free with a food or clothing donation.

There will be a special appearance by Mark Horvath, homeless advocate, creator of Invisible People and inspiration for the making of @home. Mr. Horvath, originally from Binghamton, will join Rescue Mission CEO Alan Thornton for a Q&A session immediately following the film. @home documents Horvath’s travels around the country as he met and interviewed men, women and children who live in a state of homelessness.

The showing is in observance of National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, which runs November 16-24. The Rescue Mission will hold events each day during the week to spread awareness of hunger and homelessness in our community. For more information visit or call Gina Stokes at 701-3891.
